Alex Littleton currently serves as regional program director. Alex lives in Bristol, VA, where she was born and raised, with her husband and two young children. She began work with Communities In Schools of Southwest Virginia in July 2014 after earning her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Tennessee and master’s degree in Education from King University. Alex worked as a site coordintor with Communities In Schools of SWVA prior to becoming regional program direcotr. She is also heavily involved in an outreach ministry at her church which led to her passion for working with at-risk youth and their families.

Alex found her time as a site soordinator with Communities In Schools of Southwest Virginia both very challenging and very rewarding. Poverty and instability impacts every aspect of a student’s life. In this region, so many of our students are in need of support to help change the course of their futures. Communities In Schools gives Alex the ability to support these children and students in a way that other programs cannot. She looks forward to furthering her work with Communities In Schools as regional program director.
